Mixing & Mastering

Mastering is the process of taking a recording and enhancing it to its fullest potential. It's the fine-tuning that will make your mixes sound as “big” and as “clear” as possible without compromising the original feel or quality. This not only makes each song sound individually the best it can, but also makes the album as a whole sound consistent and unified.

Single song mastering is a fast and easy way to have your audio professionally mastered online, at a very affordable rate. This is a great low cost solution for artists who need to get just a song or two up to industry standards. And if you decide to use us to master a full album at a later date, we will credit you $25 for the song we have already mastered for you.

When you send us your audio for mastering, your tracks will be analyzed by an experienced engineer. After we get an overall impression of the existing sound balance, your song is then professionally mastered using an appropriate chain of top drawer analog and digital equipment.

Turnaround time for single song mastering is generally 2 business days. Upon completion, digital downloads will be provided (delivered electronically) in high quality WAV, AIFF, and MP3 format for each song.

How does it work?
You send us the song to mix with a general or specific direction you want us to go in. We will process the song until we have completed the mix to our professional industry standards. Then we'll email you a link for you to download your new mix. It's that simple!

How do I send you my files for mixing?
The best way to send us your multi track session files is to send the individual tracks in WAV or AIFF format (don't change the sample rate or bit rate), all the tracks should be consolidated from the starting point of the session. Please label each file correctly (eg Main Vocal, Kick Drum, etc...) this makes it a lot easier when discussing possible edits an for general tidiness of the project.

Revisions
Once you hear our mix, there may be things you want to change about it. Simply call or email us with your change requests and we will implement those changes and send you another updated mix at no additional charge.

1. Prepare Audio & Upload
For optimal results please do not over apply compression, EQ, or limiting to the stereo master bus. However, you may add processing to the individual tracks within the mix.
Although its good practice to get a strong signal, don't let the audio clip. Getting your master bus to peak at a maximum of around -3dB to -6dB gives us headroom to work with your audio.
Please send files in WAV or AIFF formats only. We want high quality audio from the start for your music.

FOR BASIC MASTERING ALL WE NEED IS THE ACAPELLA & THE BEAT IN .WAV FORMANT(2 files), AND FOR PRO MASTERING WE NEED THE WHOLE SESSION (IF YOU USE PRO TOOLS) OR SEND US EACH VOCAL TRACK & THE BEAT ALONG WITH THE FINAL VERSION OF THE SONG THAT YOU HAVE SO WE CAN USE IT AS A REFERENCE.
